What this site is

Gargetter Lifestyle is an independent magazine about home, household tech, film nights, travel, food and shopping. The articles share general ideas, tips and opinions for interest and inspiration. They are not tailored to your home, your health, your money or your circumstances, because we cannot see any of those things from here.

Use your own judgement

A lot of what we write involves cleaning products, heat, electricity, ladders, sharp tools or travel rules. Please:

• read and follow the manufacturer's instructions and care labels, which always beat a general guide;
• test cleaning methods on a hidden spot before going all in;
• use one cleaning product at a time and never mix bleach with ammonia, vinegar or other cleaners;
• switch off and unplug appliances before cleaning or fixing them;
• check airline, airport and border rules for yourself before you travel;
• call a qualified professional for anything electrical, structural, medical, legal or financial.

You are responsible for how you apply anything you read here. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage that comes from following, or not following, an article.
