The Word of God
Hebrews 4:12 reads, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” This is probably one of the most quoted Bible verses ever. The phrase ‘Word of God’ refers to a word or a message that a human speaks on God’s behalf. Additionally, Hebrews 13:7 states, “Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.” Because the word of God is ‘living and active’, meaning it has life in it, it has powerful effects. God loves his word, and his word is honored by the power and presence of God. As Christians, we have experienced the power of God’s Word. Often that means we love to witness unto other. However, not everyone is keen to walk up to someone and start a conversation about Christianity. Conversely, there is a powerful witnessing tool you might not have even realized existed.
